Linux App Suggestions?
I finally reloaded my machine with Ubuntu 7.04 and have had a good experience so far. However, I’m still looking to fill some gaps in terms of replacing what I had on Windows. For one, a decent (e.g. reliable and pretty-looking) RAR extraction utility. Preferably a GUI based app. I was using WinRAR, but then WinZIP 11 handles RAR files so well, I dumped WinRAR. Also, something to deal with PAR/PAR2/SFV parity files like QuickPAR does. Let me know if you know of any you could/would recommend? Again, I’m looking for a GUI app, not a command-line utility.

I will keep my eye out…
I’ve been messing with some stuff on OS X, but not ready to recommend either way…
I have had nothing but trouble with the RAR stuff, so I have been just firing up parallels and using winRAR. I guess I am to lazy/busy to iron out the kinks…

Actually, you should give WinZip 11 a try for RAR files. It’s actually faster at extracting them then WinRAR 3.6x or 3.7x beta. However, even with the best RAR utility around, it’s useless without a good PAR/PAR2/SFV util like QuickPar.
