Stoopid Question of the Day…

The question of the day is… Who brings a gun to a toy store?
Two morons bring a gun to a toy store, and the women they are with get into an altercation, now in normal circumstances, the dispute would have been resolved in a peaceful manner, but in Palm Desert what do you do, you pull out guns an have a shoot out at the TRU corral…
So far no motive as been disclosed as to the original arguement, but I’m willing to bet that it was something very trivial. I wonder how important it will be on Christmas morning, when these womens, and presumably the mens children wake up to no father, and I wonder if either of these women will have the guts to tell the kids about the stupid thing that cost them their father.

In this current era of sue regardless of fault, I wonder how long it will be before the families of these 2 morons file a suit against Toys R Us, for allowing this to happen?

Stop the Insanity

As if the proposed IPP Act of 2007 isn’t bizarre enough, we also have Microsoft sharpening the dull heads of their legal department to prepare for an attack on the open source community.  We also have another loss of sensitive employee data by an IBM “contractor”.   Yet another soldier has gone missing after a bomb attack in Iraq, and fears are rising that he is in the hands of Al Qaida, along with three others from a previous attack.

More Stupidity

After today’s news that the TSA has lost a hard drive containing personal data on roughly 100,000 TSA employees, I have to wonder.  Do they know about “servers”?  Do they have any clue about “thin-client” computers?  Do they understand the vital aspects of keeping “sensitive” data in places that can’t be “misplaced”?  It seems not.  The fact that this data was copied to a hard drive is problem #1.  The fact that the hard drive was on a computer in a location that could easily be compromised is problem #2.   The fact that no previous audits or reviews identified this as a potential problem is problem #3.  The fact that heads haven’t rolled over this is problem #4.  I don’t care how “new” this “news” is, their should be a clear chain of command/responsibility to refer to when identifying who’s to blame.  That’s problem #5.

It’s obvious to me that the TSA is a horrible cluster-f**k FUBAR operation.
